A severely injured Teru and exhausted Ako stumble unto a helicopter manned by two soldiers, who rescue them. Teru wonders about home as the helicopter cuts through the flames and clouds of black ash. Flying toward Tokyo, the helicopter starts malfunctioning, thus forcing them to land. Surviving the landing may be the worst thing to happen to Teru and Ako!
