This coronation coin, or Crown, was minted in Gondor to celebrate the coronation of Aragorn as King Elessar Telcontar. He is shown on the obverse riding a horse and holding a flag with the White Tree of Gondor. Surrounding Aragorn, inscribed in Tengwar: Elessar, Arwen, Gondor. The coin is a celebration of Aragorn's coronation as well as his marriage to the Elf Arwen. On the reverse are brothers Isildur and Anárion holding a shield featuring the White Tree. This Gondor Crown from the world of J. R. R. Tolkien is struck from solid nickel silver, measures 3.2 cm in diameter, and weighs about 13.2 grams. Coin artwork by Greg Franck-Weiby.
