Georges Remi, better known as Herg , the creator of Tintin and Snowy, was born a century ago. He left an exceptional legacy, the center of which is Tintin, but also includes much other work. This first volume of The Art of Herg covers the years 1907 to 1937 and his development as a young, promising artist - his childhood and schoolboy sketches, his first published drawings, his burgeoning work as an illustrator and graphic designer, ads, the occasional painting, and of course, his comics.
