High-school student Yota Moteuchi is so unpopular that his classmates have given him the nickname of "Dateless." Yota turns to a video rental shop for comfort, but little did he suspect that the shop was magical, and the cute girl featured on his rented tape would pop out of television and try to fix his ruined love. When Ai starts to have feelings for Yota--feelings that are forbidden to video girls Ai's creator steps in to either fix her or erase her! As part of a new video program, Ai must create emotional distance between herself and Yota. She is faced with a choice: to give Yota the cold shoulder, causing pain to both of them, or to acknowledge her growing love for him, which will cause her to disappear forever.
