High-school student Yota Moteuchi is so unpopular, he has a nickname among his classmates: "Dateless." That doesn't stop him from falling in love with his gentle classmate Moemi, but is she in love with soeone else? At a mysterious video shop, Gokuraku, Yota rents a video starring a cute young idol Ai Amano. When he plays the video on his broken VCR, Ai promises to cheer Yota up then she emerges from the television and lands in Yota's bed. The real Ai isn't so sweet as her packaging suggests she swears, makes dirty jokes, and cooks very badly, but she decided that she will improve Yota's lovelife!
