Captain Kort Villikon, a respected soldier, and great military commander,
was framed for the horrendous crime of genocide by his archenemy, Malcolm
Vismal. Vismal banished his former superior to the prison world of ITASCA,
assumed his career and married his wife. Having adapted over several years to
his life as an exile, and unaware of the political plans for his exoneration,
Villikon roams the deserts of a treacherous planet, alive with villainy - in
search of a mysterious vessel responsible for marooning a colony of slaves, yet
capable of ushering his escape. Half-sisters, Mystere and Zandora, a penitent
criminal trio, and a madman named Epimetheus Von, join Villikon on his quest for
liberation - and a fight against a vampirical Porphyrian Hive, a military
experiment in terror.
