New Captain Marvel Series Coming in January 2019

Ahead of Captain Marvel's debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in May, Marvel is relaunching the heroine's ongoing series, as revealed by the New York Times.
The series will be helmed by writer Kelly Thompson and artist Carmen Carnero and will appear in comic shops in 2019.
According to the New York Times, the series will reconnect Captain Marvel with allies like Iron Man and her best friend Spider-Woman, as well as offer new relationships.
“This first arc has some female guest stars in an unexpected way,” Thompson told NYT. "It’s a little bit of a risk, but I think people are going to respond to it.”

Captain Marvel currently appears in The Life of Captain Marvel. The trade (OCT181018) is currently available to pre-order and is expected to arrive at comic shops in January 2019.
