Bring On The Bad Guys: Venom, Goldfinger, & The Undertaker

Egads! Another molotov cocktail that's served as a kids drink. Say it isn't so! Say we don't have to suffer the bad guys again! Yes, sad for all of those within hearing range... you will submit!  Your lethal injection of mean is back with this month’s rendition of “Bring on the Bad Guys,” and once again we show that we don’t discriminate because of race, sex, color, or creed. If you’re rotten, you qualify. And there are many ways to qualify. It might be that you enjoy kicking cats. It might be that you eat people. Or...maybe it’s because you’re one of Satan’s soldiers. In any event, we flip through the PREVIEWS catalog each month to see who needs to be called out as a deviant, and then we explain why these people … or things … or whatever they are … shouldn’t be helped if you see them bleeding in the middle of the street.

Let us begin.

Marvel: Venom Adult Deluxe Mask

When is the last time you practiced drooling? True, most people pay attention to their hair or eyeliner when looking in the mirror, but who's to say it's abnormal to see whether or not your saliva glands are producing the right amount of drool? It may seem like a rediculous rhetorical question to some, but to those who have aspirtions of impersonating their fan-favorite homicidal symbiote, it is a relevant question. The folks at Rubies Costumes, however, have made the question moot. They've sidestepped the confusing conundrum and instead produced the Marvel: Venom Adult Deluxe Mask (DEC168655) as the answer. This rendition of Venom is somewhere between Eddie Brock and Mac Gargan, so you decide on who's the stronger anchor. Spend less time in front of the mirror and more time scaring people on the street with this awesome mask that you'll find in the Apparel section of the May PREVIEWS catalog!

James Bond: Auric Goldfinger 1/6 Scale Collector Figure

You might say that he's the Boss of Bosses. Or you might call him King Midas. What you don't want to call him is "incapable." He's the arch villain that gave Sean Connery's James Bond a splitting headache in the Goldfinger movie that audiences enjoyed worldwide back in 1964. We say "splitting headache" beause we can't refer to what Goldfinger was really going to split when he had Bond tied to a table. Don't be so harsh with criticism! So what if he's a psychopath? We think he's one of the baddest cats today, and the James Bond: Auric Goldfinger 1/6 Scale Collector Figure (JAN178795) is just paying due tribute to the international gold smuggler. A fully-realized portrait of actor Gert Frobe, this figure shows off a hand-tailored costume, and numerous accessories including a special display base with illuminating character name plaque. Produced in a worldwide numbered limited edition, you'll find this officially licensed figure that's fully authorized by EON Productions Ltd. in the Import Toys/Statues/Models section of the May PREVIEWS catalog!

James Bond: Oddjob 1/6 Scale Collector Figure

Every evil villain needs a good right-hand man. If said villain is lucky, that same right-hand man will be good at dispensing death with the mere flick of a wrist. And this was probably Oddjob's greatest gift to his employer. He literally could send his hat flying at you with a flick of his wrist...and that hat could send your head clean off your shoulders. With the James Bond: Oddjob 1/6 Scale Collector Figure (JAN178797), we celebrate such a character that has gone down in film history as the right-hand man which is the envy of all evil-doers. This fully-realized portriat of actor Harold Sakata is a meticulously detailed replica of his character Oddjob in the movie Goldfinger. This miniature comes with numerous accessories including a .45 semi automatic pistol with removable magazine, decapitated head of statue, fort knox gold bullion bar, and a special display base with illuminating character name plaque.
