Maru and Kiruko search for the raygun mark, which they believe is the key to finding "Heaven," and arrive at the Takahara Academy facility in Nara. There they find a prosperous town administered by the Ministry of Kansai Reconstruction. However, they are discovered by Takezuka, who has followed them. Meanwhile, the children who had been living in "heaven" have been forced to live in the outside world, partly due to a "catastrophe." What will become of them?
