Aya Mikage leads the life of a normal high school student until her 16th birthday, when her own family tries to kill her and imprisons her twin brother, Aki. Aya later discovers that she possesses the blood of the "tennyo" (heavenly maiden), and when pushed too far, she will transform into Ceres. If left to live, she is destined to bring ruin upon the Mikage family. After seeing Ceres and Y hi fly off the side of the Mikage Corporation's offices, a girl named Chidori has made it her goal to find the airborne duo. Though she can't find Ceres, she finds Y hi and now wants him to help grant her crippled brother's dream of flight. But when Aya and Y hi visit the hospital he is being treated at, they walk right into a Mikage Corporation experiment-in-progress - an entire ward filled with C-Genome patients!
