Atlantis Studios announced today the release of the fifth book in the Star Runner Chronicles series with Rogue Star (JUN251074), shipping to stores in August 2025. This book is the continuation of the popular young adult sci-fi series that began with Fallen Star. This new 112-page graphic novel is available to pre-order in June Previews.

Following the catastrophic events of Hidden Star (Book Four), Aurora Palmer finds herself once again working for Vanguard. Having mastered her unique abilities of starship navigation, she uses her frequent missions to overcome the sadness of her break-up with Scott. Suddenly a new danger appears, and troubling visions of the future make Aurora fearful that all of Earth could be destroyed!

“Everything’s changed for Aurora in this adventure,” said James Watson, writer and creator of the Star Runner Chronicles series, “Because of what happened previously, she is forced to face a potentially world-ending crisis alone. While she has friends who stand by her, she’s still a young, vulnerable teenager learning how to cope with everything that’s happened to her since learning her alien origins.”

The challenge of accepting one’s true destiny is a recurring theme of this popular young adult series. From its first publication, the Star Runner Chronicles has been given high marks for writing and artwork, and for creating an interesting cast of diverse characters, building in each episode a complex and multi-layered world.

Jake Palermo of Gutternaut.net praised the series for “…advancing the franchise through world-building and character development.” Brett Schenker of Graphic Policy called the series “…a nice mix of teenage drama and action, but most importantly a fleshed-out world that has us wanting to find out more.”

The books in the Star Runner Chronicles feature the spectacular talent of an international team of artists that has helped develop its unique visual style: Leo Cordeiro as penciller, Carlos Eduardo on inks, Mohan Sivakami on colors, and industry veteran Wilson Ramos, Jr. doing final lettering design.

The adventures for Aurora are nearing their conclusion.  This fall, the sixth and final book of the series will begin production. Meanwhile, a feature film is in development with a planned release date of fall 2026.  If you’re a fan of thought-provoking science fiction, romance, and action-adventure, the Star Runner Chronicles is a series you do not want to miss! Don’t miss Rogue Star in June Previews.
