"Captain Marvel" Soars Past $1 Billion at Box Office

Captain Marvel has officially made history, passing the heralded $1 billion landmark at global box offices.
The film becomes the seventh movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to reach the mark, joining Avengers: Infinity War, Black Panther, The Avengers, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Iron Man.
Captain Marvel has earned $358 million at the domestic box office and $645 million internationally through April 2.
It is the sixth movie to earn $1 billion since 2018, five of which are superhero-based.
Captain Marvel's Carol Danvers, played by Brie Larson, will make her second MCU appearance in Avengers: Endgame.
