Sony Developing "Spider-Verse" Sequel, Spin-Off

The "Spider-Verse" is already set to expand before it even kicks off.
Reported exclusively by The Hollywood Reporter, Sony has plans for a Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse sequel and all-female spin-off.
Creative teams have already been tapped for the future films, THR revealed in the report.
Joaquim Dos Santos, who currently serves as an executive producer on Netflix's Voltron series, will direct the sequel. Wonder Woman 1984 and The Expandables screenwriter David Callahan will write the script. Lauren Montgomery and Bek Smith are in talks to respectively direct and write the spin-off.
Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse producer Amy Pascal will continue to serve as a producer on future "Spider-Verse" projects.
