Start Here: Five New Comics For June 20th
Jun 18, 2018
Never get left behind again, thanks to START HERE!
Admittedly, to be a comic book reader, you have to be a special breed. That is, usually, you have to be willing to go backward and forward in continuity – play catch up as best you can or get left behind by the ever-expanding funny book ecosystem.
Except, that’s not entirely true.
Yes, there are a lot of comics out there, but there are plenty of jumping on points because of that fact. Here are 5 titles hitting stores on May 30, 2018. Each is a new series or the beginning of entirely new story arcs. Simply head to your comic shop and tell your store clerk, “Hey, I’d like to START HERE, please.”
Buffy: The Vampire Slayer (Season 12) #1
Get ready for what is being called “the culmination” of the Buffy-verse. Buffy The Vampire Slayer Season 12 welcomes creator Joss Whedon back and he’s bringing a reckoning with him! This action-packed 4-parter throws the slayer directly into a time warp involving that reliably evil law firm called Wolfram and Hart.
Tony Stark: Iron Man #1
From Dan Slott and Valerio Schiti comes a new era for the ever-evolving Iron Man.
Tony Stark sees his greatest creation as an idea without limits, and now he’s going to prove just that!
Regular Show: 25 Years Later #1
After the stunning conclusion to the landmark Regular Show on Cartoon Network in January 2017 featuring an epic battle between Pops and Anti-Pops, fans have been wondering what’s next for Mordecai, Rigby, and the rest of the park - and now BOOM! Studios has the answer!
Fathom #1
Aspen Comics is celebrating fifteen years of publishing in 2018 with all-new adventure for Aspen's preeminent hero: Aspen Matthews! In Fathom #1 (Vol. 7), a new adversary has arrived to challenge Aspen just as she struggles to navigate “The Blue” world order.
Hit Girl #5
Critically-acclaimed writer Jeff Lemire and fan-favorite artist Eduardo Risso take on Mark Millar’s lethal little lady (but don’t call her that)!
Fresh on the heels of her bloodbath in Columbia, Mindy (a.k.a “Hitgirl) heads to Canada, where the blood freezes but will spill all the same.
