Tiffany Haddish Set for Film Version of Vertigo’s The Kitchen

New Line Cinema’s adaptation of the bestselling Vertigo comic series The Kitchen received a powerhouse boost when The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Girls Trip star and comedian Tiffany Haddish will join the cast.
Set in New York’s Hell’s Kitchen of the 1970s, The Kitchen follows the activities of three mobsters’ wives who take over the rackets after their husbands are sent to prison, dealing with blackmailers, each other and — ultimately — with the return of their husbands and their desire to reclaim power.
The film will be directed by Academy Award-nominated Straight Outta Compton screenwriter Andrea Berloff, making her directorial debut.
