B.P.R.D.: The Devil You Know #1

Old enemies die hard. And before they die, they tend to leave  a mess. See, in the grand equation, we've been told that evil must exist in order for good to exist. So the the weird cycle of life that we live in everyday tends to go like this: life is great, life is sweet...! Oh! Look at that! Now my friend is a tasty treat! Monsters tend to dig munching on people like your best friend, or family members, and it was for that reason that B.P.R.D. had to put down all the Lovecraftian monsters. A three-course meal just wasn't enough for them. So the B.P.R.D. did it's job. But do you wonder what that mess looked like before everything was cleaned up? Now you can get that bird's-eye view of carnage with Mike Mignola and Scott Allie's B.P.R.D.: The Devil You Know #1 (MAY170066) from Dark Horse Comics, drawn by Laurence Campbell. Look for it in the Premier Comics section of the May PREVIEWS catalog!

Clive Barker's Hellraiser Omnibus Volume One

They say Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. But those same people never considered the fury of a Cenobite. Demons to some, angels to others, they are Hell's citizens that are just dying to feast on your tears and sorrow. Their master of cruel ceremonies, Pinhead, has been made famous as a result of the Hellraiser movies, and the comics that were published by BOOM! Studios. Now Pinhead is back. All things pass, true, but when some things come back, like Pinhead, it's best to cancel all meetings and make sure your last will and testament is in order. For this encore of Pinhead's pain and suffering, creator/writer Clive Barker himself has returned to pen a new chapter in the official continuity, and it will be a trajectory that will forever change the Cenobites. Reprinting Clive Barker's Hellraiser #1-20 and Clive Barker's Hellraiser Annual #1, the Clive Barker's Hellraiser Omnibus Volume One (MAY171244) is now available to preorder from BOOM! Studios, and we urge you to not wait too long as Cenobites have little patience, especially Pinhead — who would love nothing more than to tear your soul apart! Look for it in the Comics and Graphic Novels section of the May PREVIEWS catalog!

The Howling #1

Back in the 80s, splatter films were the rage. The videotape revolution was in full swing, and those films which moved the fastest from the shelves were the horror movies that perfected the art of gore and dismemberment. Don't believe us? Many of them were banned in the UK. They were labelled "Video Nasties." Look it up. But in the U.S. when this kind of movie fare was in full swing, with Halloween and Friday the 13th packing them into movie theaters across the country, the film that appealed most to those who loved the lupine creatures was The Howling. And now, from Space Goat Publishing, The Howling #1 (MAY171795) has made it's debut as a full-color horror comic that picks up where the cult-classic 1981 film left off! Marsha Quist has returned for revenge, and now there is no colony to hold back her blood lust! You can find The Howling #1 in the Comics and Graphic Novels section of the May PREVIEWS catalog!

Amon Apocalypse Of Devilman: Amon 1/6 Scale Polystone Statue

So what would an angel of death look like? Some would say you should check out the Amon Apocalypse Of Devilman: Amon 1/6 Scale Polystone Statue (MAY172834) for a visual. For those of you not up to speed, Devilman is a ground-breaking comic series that was created by master manga artist Go Nagai, and he marks his 50th-anniversary as an artist in 2017. What better way to celebrate his legacy then to let you see HIS vision of the angel of death than with this impressive figure of the mighty demon fighter Amon, which is sculpted with an emphasis on the slender and strong shape of the iconic character.  This 1/6-scale Amon statue measures 18" tall, and features a huge demon skull and magic circle sculpted into the base, capturing the hideous demon's world. Raw power in every detail. This is what the angel of death would look like. Check it out in the Import Toys/Statues/Models section of the May PREVIEWS comic shop catalog!
