A Piggy's Tale

An adorable all-ages comic and Kickstarter success, A Piggy’s Tale (AUG161294) will warm reader’s heart with it’s based on real life hero - who happens to be a three legged dog. Piggy and Simon, writer Tod Emko’s real life pets take center stage in this fun superhero story as they set off on a grand adventure to help those around them in New York City. It’s up to this dynamic duo to save the city from evil-doers and nothing will stand in their way, a point Piggy makes clear by his tenacious nature and can-do attitude.

Die Kitty Die #1

Dan Parent and Fernando Ruiz, best known for their work as artists for Archie Comics, are bringing their successful Kickstarter to print with Die Kitty Die #1 (AUG161458). Following the story of Kitty Ravencraft, a witch who was the star of a popular comic, this tongue-in-cheek look at comic book tropes is a zany and irreverent look at what happens to comic book stars once the books stop selling. Desperate to drum up publicity for Kitty’s dying comic series, her publisher tries to kill her off – both in comics and real life! A meta take on a traditional comic trope, Die Kitty Die shows what can happen when killing off your main character goes a little too far.

Markiplier

The Youtube superstar Mark “Markiplier” Fishbach has taken over the world of comics with the collection of his series from Red Giant Entertainment in Markiplier (AUG161853). After being sent a mysterious watch by a “fan”, Markiplier finds himself hopping through time and space! As he encounters monsters, robots, dragons, demons, vampires, zombies, and even more crazy creatures; Mark must do what he can to return home. But as he slides through dimensions will he be able to find his way back, and who sent him the watch in the first place?

Girrion #1

A gorgeous science fiction adventure brought to life through Kickstarter, Girrion #1 (AUG161857is coming to comic book stores. The sweeping epic follows the journey of Jarra, a downtrodden factory worker who dreams of escaping his fate and does, but not in the way he imagined. As a dark entity called the Halodron attacks his city, Jarra escapes only to be thrown into a war of magic and weaponry. History starts to unravel amidst the destruction and a mysterious technology only know as Girrion starts to stir. It’s up to Jarra to save his crumbling empire from its damaging past, if only he can find out how.
