Dishonored #1

Gamers will have to wait until this fall to play the sequel to Bethesda Studios action-adventure stealth game Dishonored, but comic book fans can continue the story of Corvo and Emily in Dishonored #1 (JUN161787). The latest series in Titan Comics video game adaptations, the comic returns fans to the city of Dunwall twelve years after the events in the first game. Corvo has cleared his name of Empress Jessamine’s murder and is setting out to find an apprentice to continue his legacy when his past catches up to him in an unexpected way. Drawn into another supernatural conspiracy, this magically gifted assassin must stop the forces that move against Dunwall.

Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Princess Zelda Nendoroid

Joining her longtime video game companion, Legend of Zelda fans will finally be able to add Princess Zelda to their collection of Nendoroids. Good Smile Company is bringing The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker Princess Zelda Nendoroid (MAR168147to comic shops to be the perfect display partner for their previously released The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker Link Nendoroid (MAY142613). Zelda comes with three expressions to show off her personality, a standard smiling expression, a winking face, and a combat expression. Her additional accessories include her bow and Light Arrow to re-enact the climactic battle with Ganondorf, as well as the Master Sword and Mirror Shield which can be equipped to the Link Nendoroid.

Yoshitaka Amano Illustrations

Viz Media is highlighting the artwork of one of Japan’s most acclaimed living artists and one of video games most prolific character designers in Yoshitaka Amano Illustrations (JUN161954). Amano’s career spans genres and styles, including work on the anime adaptation of Speed Racer, the design of Gatchaman, and his illustrations for the Vampire Hunter D novel series. His most well-known work, at least in the realm of video games, would be his long time collaboration with Square Enix as the character and logo designer for the first six Final Fantasy games and his illustrations for the series. Yoshitaka Amano Illustrations delves into his body of work as a whole, but is a fascinating peek at an artist that helped to define the look of one of the most popular video game franchises.

World of Tanks #1

Award-winning author Garth Ennis is teaming up with artist Carlos Ezquerra (the co-creator of Judge Dredd) to tell a war story like no other in World of Tanks #1 (JUN160079). Dark Horse Comics is expanding the story behind the unending war that plays as the backdrop to the massively popular online strategy game. Following a rookie British tank crew as they travel through the French countryside while hunted by a hardened German panzer unit, this war story will give a face to the legions of tanks rolling through the vertical battlefields.
