The year is almost over and it’s time to share the holiday cheer with comics perfect for everyone on your gift list in the December’s Kid Comics Column. The third volume in Dana Simpson’s popular all-ages fantasy webcomic, comic strip, and graphic novel franchise starts at the end of the school year. It’s summer vacation for Phoebe and that means more time for the Phoebegold Detective Agency, Wolfgang Music Camp, and more!

As Phoebe and Marigold enjoy their summer misadventures they also make plenty of new friends, including Marigold’s estranged sister Florence and a lake monster that loves tacos and Wi-Fi. Unicorns vs Goblins is an endearing look at friendship that fans of My Little Pony and Calvin and Hobbes will love.

Amy Mebberson’s Pocket Princesses have taken the internet by storm. From her adorable artwork to the wacky hijinks that Disney princesses get up to, these cute comic strips have caught the eye of The Walt Disney Company who are bringing them to print as an ongoing comic series from Joe Books.

These cats are out to save the world as Cassiopeia, Ace, Midnight, Rocket, Belle, and Rocco set out to save Stellar City once again in Hero Cats volume 3 (DEC150911) from Action Lab Entertainment.
