Square Enix Shows Off New Video Game Figures

Square Enix may be known for their incredible toys and collectibles in the toy industry, but outside of toys they are mostly known for their timeless video game franchises like Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, and western properties like Tomb Raider and Deus Ex.
And this year Square Enix combined the best of both worlds when they showed off the new Final Fantasy Play Arts Kai Variants and Static Arts Minis at Toy Fair 2014, as well as some other great figures based on other video games from companies like EA, Konami, and Sega. Check out the images below to see what you can look forward to from Square Enix in the coming year!
First up are the new Final Fantasy Variant Play Arts Kai Figures. Square Enix is paying homage to their most beloved franchise with these highly detailed and exquisitely sculpted anime reinterpretations of classic Final Fantasy characters. They will be sure to stun loyal Final Fantasy fans with amazing never before seen character designs new to this line of figures. Check out how Square Enix reimagines Dragoon, The Hero of Light, and Bahamut who has a fully articulated wingspan!

Next, they debuted the new Final Fantasy Static Art Minis with chibi character designs based off Theatrhythm Final Fantasy. Start off your collection with your favorite characters from Final Fantasy VII like Cloud Strife (MAR142193), Tifa Lockhart (MAR142194), and Sephiroth (MAR142195).
These Static Arts Minis are a great way to build up your Final Fantasy collection with cute variations on your favorite characters with more coming soon. And finally, if you find yourself a bit stressed out be sure to unwind with these even cuter Final Fantasy Stress Balls that perfectly pair up with the new Final Fantasy Static Arts Mini.

Moving on to one of the most anticipated games of the year, Square Enix debuted a new entry into their Play Arts Kai line with the Titanfall Atlas Titan Figure. It's one of the first announced collectibles for the game and it will be available later this year.
However, if you're itching to learn more about this new game from Respawn Entertainment, be sure check it out when the game releases on March 11, 2014 for Xbox One and PC, with an Xbox 360 version coming March 25, 2014. After you play the game look out for this new figure later in 2014!

They also displayed a new figure from the hotly anticipated upcoming addition to the legendary Metal Gear Solid franchise, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, with Snake (FEB142355) joining the Play Arts Kai action figure line!
Debuting with this figure, Square Enix is implementing new joint structures that enable smooth articulation at the elbows, knees, neck and ankles. And the shoulders, which have a more natural look, use a flexible resin to ensure a wider range of motion. The figure comes complete with interchangeable head, hands, weapons parts, and display stand. Available in June!

Square is expanding the Play Arts Kai line with the terrifying Aliens from last year's Aliens: Colonial Marines first person shooter from SEGA with the Spitter (DEC132054) and Lurker (DEC132053) figures. These terrifying figures feature exquisite design, multiple points of articulation, and stunning poseability. Available in April!

And finally from the newly annouced CG animated movie, Appleseed Alpha, comes two new Play Arts Kai figures from the film based on the Manga/Anime that inspired the PS2 game Appleseed EX from SEGA. These Play Arts Kai figures feature the new designs of Deunan and Briareos from movie and will be available later in 2014.
