Staff Picks (April 13): Six Gun Gorilla #1

I knew when I heard the title of this book was going to be Six Gun Gorilla that I would be writing my staff pick on this. Gorillas… and guns? Genius.

The original Six Gun Gorilla series was published in the British publication Wizard back in the 1930’s. Now we’ll be treated to more Gorilla gun toting action! Writer Simon Spurrier (X-Men Legacy, Extermination) and artist Jeff Stokely (Fraggle Rock) are taking a new spin on this heavily armed Gorilla.

By the 22nd century the Earth is worthless. Our natural resources are spent. An alien world known as “The Blister” has been colonized and is heavily contested due to its rich resources. Our Gorilla, a biologically engineered silverback, armed with two massive revolvers, roams a war torn alien planet encountering outlaws, soldiers, and natives.
