I’ve been a fan of Terry Moore going back to when Strangers in Paradise was published by Antarctic Press. Terry has proved he can make the most unbelievable characters and situations believable month after month.

Here we are almost a year since Abstract studios offered Rachel Rising and began introducing us to a new cast of characters. Rachael is still trying to find out what happened to her and how she ended up in a grave. She is a magnetic for weird and unpleasant things to happen to family and friends so much so her friend Jet ends up being a bit too much like her friend Rachel.

Recently Kirkman’s Walking Dead offered a sample of Rachael Rising #1 to entice new readers. If the creator of the hottest horror comic can give this series that kind of spotlight you know it has to be good, heck he’s not making a cent off the book.

Terry Moore has proven himself to us over the years writing romance, crime, science fiction, supreme super heroics, runaway mutant teen angst and now showing us all how suspense and horror should be done.

At times I think we all (consumers and retailers) take guys like Terry for granted, he gets a book out every month pretty much on time, regularly collects the series into trades and still hits the conventions to meet his fans face to face. If you haven’t read this book try it this month as we look at Halloween themed titles. After all if it’s good enough for Kirkman it’s sure good enough for you.
