Though Rei has officially dropped out of school to pursue his racing career, Kira is sticking with her education and her own convictions. Her stepfather, however, isn't convinced that she's doing the right thing. Much to the chagrin of Rei, he drops in to check up on Kira unannounced, and a scuffle ensues. Kira's father presses charges against Rei hoping to force Kira's return home, and Rei can only think of one way to make things right. It will take more courage than he thought possible to pull it off.
