WDCC RUNAWAY BRAIN DR FRANKENOLLIE FIGURINE
WDCC RUNAWAY BRAIN DR FRANKENOLLIE FIGURINE
MAY091495
Mickey's in a monstrous mess! Thanks to the manic meddling of a mad simian scientist named Dr. Frankenollie, his brain has been switched into the body of a destructive monster named Julius, and vice versa. No wonder Mickey's normally friendly-appearing self now looks so ridiculously twisted!  The monsterized Mickey becomes obsessed with pursuing Minnie while the monster (with Mickey's brain) attempts to rescue her. Dr. Frankenollie monitors the progress of the brain transplant on the equipment which forms the base of this dynamic statue. Disney artists have referenced original animation and drawings from the Oscar-nominated 1995 animated short, "Runaway Brain," in bringing this moment to three-dimensional life in hand-painted, kiln-fired porcelain with pewter tail on Mickey and pewter controls on the Frankenollie statue. Sculpted by Patrick Romandy-Simmons, the Mickey statue stands 6" tall while Dr. Frankenollie, sculpted by Dusty Horner, stands 7 " high. Offered separately, the statues come complete with a Disney Certificate of Authenticity and collectible gift box.
