Introducing Upper Deck's first foray into an all hand-painted set! Upper Deck now owns the rights to the Playball name, a name synonymous with the 1930's and 40's. This product pays tribute to those great sets of the time, specifically the 1941 set that many consider the most beautiful baseball card set ever produced. The 120-card hand-painted set includes a few seeded subsets, as well as an insert entitled "The Yankee Clipper: 1941 Streak," which is seeded at three per box, with each card featuring the box score from one of the game from his famous 56-game hitting streak. There is also a one per pack parallel of the base set that utilizes the same card size as the original Play Ball cards from 1941. There are game-used jersey cards, seeded at one in every other box, and original buybacks of actual 1941 Play Ball cards seeded one per case.
