To say that the secondary comic book market has been hot the last few years would be an understatement. In the last year and a half, 17 comics have sold for over $1 million in auctions and private sales – more than double the total number of books that had reached that milestone before then. Aside from reaching seven figures, many of those books, and other keys, have seen significant rises in value in just a few years.

Each new edition of The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide provides lists of the top books from each comic age. The list that was compiled 12 years ago in the Guide #40 illustrates how much some of these books have grown in value, and the fact that some – like recent $1 million All Star Comics #8 sale – weren’t in the Top 10 at that point.

Below is the list of the Top 10 Golden Age books in Near Mint condition in 2010.
