A CGC 8.5 example of Incredible Hulk #1 has closed at a record price of $122,001. This beat the previous record for an 8.5 by 13%, and is one of the many record-setting price results for comic books in ComicLink’s recent Summer Featured Auction.
“Incredible Hulk #1 released in 1962 is one of the earliest and most difficult of the early Silver Age Marvel keys to locate in high grade,” ComicLink founder and Managing Director, Josh Nathanson, said. “The Hulk is an iconic character beloved by millions – if not billions – of fans globally, having transcended the comic book page into several of the biggest movies ever made, courtesy of Marvel Studios. Success of the character in comic book form continues as well, as the current comic book title featuring the Green Goliath, Immortal Hulk, has consistently been the most critically acclaimed superhero title published during the past few years. Demand for Incredible Hulk #1 will continue to grow in the years to come, and high grade examples will continue to dwindle in supply.”
ComicLink will be offering other key and high grade comic books in its upcoming Fall Featured Auction which starts on November 12, as well as its Focused Auction launching on October 9. Interested sellers still have time to consign to either of the final two ComicLink auctions of 2020. For more information visit the ComicLink auction schedule or contact a ComicLink sales consultant by emailing buysell@comiclink.com or by calling (617) 517-0062 (option 1). Upfront, interest free cash advances are available for quality material.
ComicLink’s Focused Auction is now open for bids.
