The first CertifiedLink.com auction is now open with a selection of certified coins, baseball cards, video games, and vintage movie posters. CertifiedLink.com, managed by the same team that runs ComicLink, one of the leading auction venues for comic books and original art, will now conduct other certified collectible auctions at least quarterly.

“Our team is very excited to see the first CertifiedLink auction come to life, with an impressive selection of items for this launch,” founder and Managing Director Josh Nathanson said.

Below is more detailed information on the first CertifiedLink.com auction broken out by category.

Certified coins will include both US coins and ancient coins. The US coins are ones issued in the 1800s and early 1900s (with a few modern commemoratives). Despite being minted many years ago, these third party coins remain in great shape. Numerous denominations are represented. Among them are Double Eagle gold pieces from the 1800s and early 1900s that carry with them over $1,200 in gold value alone. Ancient coins in the sale include those issued as early as 300 B.C. that are in remarkable shape including Roman and Greek coins and those of numerous other city-states. See Hercules, Zeus and Athena on the faces of these coins, during a time when they were still considered deities. Many of these coins are in very good shape considering their age and the selection is indeed museum-quality.

The certified baseball cards are led by a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle rookie card that looks far superior to the PSA condition assigned, according to CertifiedLink, plus over a dozen other vintage, Mickey Mantle baseball cards. There are also many cards featuring Hall of Famers with big names such as Ty Cobb, Babe Ruth, Joe Dimaggio, Ted Williams, Hank Aaron, and key rookie cards such as the 1954 Hank Aaron and 1963 Pete Rose.

The certified video games feature a rare, first edition Matte Sticker Seal Super Mario Bros., which was only released in the test market of NYC; high grade Stadium Events cart; a scarce sealed Mario Bros. WATA 7.0; games from pedigree collections including the Indiana Collection and Carolina Collection; WATA 9.8 examples of NES games Metal Gear, Darkman, Godzilla: Monster of Monsters, 8 Eyes, Cybernoid: The Fighting Machine, Flight Of The Intruder, Kirby’s Adventures, and more. Plus, there are many others in the WATA Near Mint range.

Each of the original movie posters comes with a COA from CertifiedLink. Numerous movie genres are represented, though the selection is heavy on the sci-fi and horror genres. Posters offered include Attack of the 50 Ft. Woman half-sheet, The Day The Earth Stood Still insert, Earth vs. Flying Saucers one-sheet, Them! one-sheet, Gorgo one-sheet, It Conquered The World half-sheet, The Fly insert, The Mole People insert, The Monster Of Piedras Blancas half-sheet, and Sleeping Beauty one-sheet.
