eMoviePoster’s June Major Auction contains over 1,500 items from all over the world. The four part auction features items from every decade of film and in many different sizes.
Part I with 399 US linen-backed one-sheets and larger sizes, is open now and ends Sunday, June 9. Part II features 388 other linen-backed posters of every kind and is open until Tuesday, June 11. Part III with non-linen-backed items that include lobby cards and stills, is open Thursday, June 6. Part IV is filled with a Star Wars collection, that includes the some of the most desirable posters, and begins Sunday, June 9.
Some of the best linen-backed posters in Part I and Part II are Master Mystery chapter 9 one-sheet, Bullitt international six-sheet and three-sheet, War of the Worlds 1965 rerelease one-sheet, Postman Always Rings Twice one-sheet, Buck Privates one-sheet, Anatomy of a Murder style B one-sheet, Mole People one-sheet, Psycho one-sheet, Invaders From Mars one-sheet, A Hard Day’s Night one-sheet, Thunderball Australian daybill, and Forbidden Planet Australian daybill.
Additional highlights are Invasion of the Saucer Men half-sheet, Superman in Scotland Yard Australian one-sheet, Goldfinger Australian daybill, I Want You for the Navy WWI poster, War of the Worlds Australian daybill, anti-war special poster from the 1930s, Camille French one-panel, Roman Holiday insert, Peter Pan style A one-sheet, Sevilla Spanish special poster, and Barbarella commercial poster.
The auction has no reserves or buyer’s premiums and items are listed with unenhanced supersized images.
Three surprising results from the auction that closed on June 4 were a Danish Playtime poster for $1,450, British 5,000 Fingers Of Dr. T quad for $1,437, and a Japanese Early Spring poster for $554.
