The New York-based auction house, ComicConnect, reported a $240,000 sale of a Batman #1 CGC 5.0 in their fixed priced market place during their quarterly Event Auction. 

“Batman #1 is one of the must-own Golden Age keys in an investment comic portfolio,” said Vincent Zurzolo, COO of ComicConnect. “With Detective [Comics] #27 priced beyond most budgets, the more plentiful Batman #1 can still be found in decent condition and at prices that allow for potential growth. The buyer and seller were thrilled and that always makes a good deal.”
