In their current comics auction, Hake’s Auctions is selling over 70 lots of X-Men comics. From the debut issue up to #142, these books contain many first appearances and several important storylines. Presented in a range of grades, these books offer plenty of opportunities for collectors of X-Men, Marvel, and Silver and Bronze Age titles.  

Leading the charge for Professor Xavier’s team is X-Men #1 CGC 4.5, featuring the origin and first appearance of the X-Men (specifically Professor X, Cyclops, Iceman, Angel, Beast, and Marvel Girl), as well as Magneto.

Other first appearances ready for their debuts in new homes are X-Men #4 CGC 7.0 Qualified (first Brotherhood of Evil Mutants), #11 CGC 5.5 (first Stranger, appearances by Magneto, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Mastermind, and Toad), #12 CGC 7.0 (origin and first Juggernaut, origin of Professor X), #14 CGC 5.5 (first Sentinels), #15 CGC 7.0 (first Master Mold), #109 CGC 9.0 (first Weapon Alpha), #107 CGC 9.0 (first Starjammers), and #135 CGC 9.2 (first Senator Robert Kelly).

Some key moments and storylines are featured in X-Men #9 CGC 5.5 (first X-Men and Avengers meeting), #27 CGC 8.5 (Mimic joins the X-Men), #58 CGC 6.5 (first Havok in costume), #95 CGC 7.5 (death of Thunderbird, third New X-Men appearance), #100 CGC 8.0 (Old X-Men vs. New X-Men), #134 CGC 9.2 (Phoenix becomes Dark Phoenix), and #137 CGC 9.2 (Death of Phoenix storyline).

A few other attention grabbers are Uncanny X-Men #500 CGC 9.8 Signature Series signed by Matt Fraction, Ed Brubaker, Terry Dodson, and Joe Quesada, and X-Men #5 CGC 4.5 (third Magneto, second Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Mastermind, and Toad), #29 CGC 9.0 (Super-Adaptoid appearance, Mimic leaves the X-Men), #50 CGC 7.0 (second Polaris, Mesmero appearance, origin of the Beast), #102 CGC 9.8 (appearances by Juggernaut, Black Tom Cassidy, and Misty Knight, and origin of Storm), and #105 CGC 9.6 (appearances by Firelord, Lilandra, Misty Knight, and Eric the Red, and cameos by Chris Claremont and Dave Cockrum).
