Crossed Plus 100 Mimic #1

Visionaries are often mischaracterized. That is because not everyone can always see what the visionary sees. They don't have the right pair of binoculars. In the case of writer Alan Moore, his vision for Avatar Press came in the form of a civilization that lived 100 years in the future. It didn't look like something you'd see in a science fiction movie. It didn't look like Blade Runner. It looked more like something out of Lord of the Flies. Humanity didn't progress. It regressed. There was a good reason, though. Death was everywhere. Now from writers Christos Gage and Patrick Shand, with art by Emiliano Urdinola and Raulo Caceres, Alan Moore's bleak futuristic vision is brought to comic readers once again with Crossed Plus 100 Mimi #1 (JAN181255), which is available in a variety of hard-hitting covers. Look for it from Avatar Press in the Comics/Grapic Novels section of the January PREVIEWS catalog!

Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Leatherface 1/6-Scale Figure

It's rude to ignore a dinner invitation. At least you fill out the RSVP card. So let's say you do that. Then you follow through, and you go to the dinner party anyway because you figure, hey, free eats, right? Such is the revelation you have when you come face-to-face with the Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Leatherface 1/6-Scale Figure (SEP178618). Guess what? You're living in a 1974 horror movie, and good ol' Leatherface is on hand to take your hand, whether you like it or not! Alien Facehugger & Egg

You know, when most people want kids they procreate. Or they adopt. And these options are socially acceptable. Often encouraged by friends and family. The point is to have a well-adjusted family. A loving circle of people who want nothing but the best for each other, and to support one another in times of trouble or sickness. It's that last clause, the "sickness" clause that people really don't think about, do they? Imagine how supportive you'd be of your family member if you walked into a room and saw that they had the Alien Facehugger & Egg (JAN182394) in their room? Odds are, you'd think they were pretty sick, because you know once that alien sucker thing attaches itself to your face, you'll be having kids of your own once they burst out of your chest! How much fun is that? You run the other way, don't you? Family member or not! Well imagine how much fun it is, then, to put this thing next to people you don't like? Do it! Now you have the room to yourself! Pick up this crowd-pleaser in the Hero Collector By Eaglemoss section at the back of the January PREVIEWS!

Scars of Dracula: Count Dracula 1/4-Scale Polyresin Statue

Long befor he was the insidious Count Dooku, Sir Christopher Lee had a long acting career that included playing the King of Vampires in an abundant number of Dracula movies for Hammer Films' horror movies. The Dracula flicks are legendary as Lee's partnership with Peter Cushing in more than 20 films ensured the pair's place in the rank of screen immortals which will forever live in college classrooms and whatever form the Internet takes long after we're gone from this Earth. The Scars of Dracula: Count Dracula 1/4-Scale Polyresin Statue (SEP178734) perfectly pays tribute to the English actor, and freeze-frames his blood-curdling countenance as it was infamously known from Hammer's 1970 film Scars of Dracula. This spooky 1/4-scale statue stands about 21" tall and features a fabric costume with swirling cape that perfectly captures Dracula's formal wear. One-12 Collective: Halloween — Michael Myers Action Figure

If you had a "Who's Who" reunion of the 1980s horror heavy-hitters, who would be on the VIP list? Could you roll off the names without even thinking? Are you that fluent in the fear flicks from such a decadent decade? After all, there were a lot of them. One of them we just visited earlier. His name was Leatherface. But, then, if you were to go through with things and host a grand slaughterhouse soirée that is untouchable for it's guest list, you'd have to invite the likes of Freddy Krueger, Chucky, Jason, and...of course...the One-12 Collective Halloween — Michael Myers Action Figure (SEP178706). To have a bloody banquet without the presence of such terrible and tall talent is unthinkable. After all, he's just as infamous for being known as "The Shape" as he is for his own name! This figure features a film accurate sculpt and coveralls, an alternate head with affixed ghost sheet, glasses, and comes equipped with both bloody and clean knives as well as a light-up Jack O' Lantern. Check him out in the Toys/Statues/Models section of the January PREVIEWS catalog!

Hope you liked this month's line-up of creepy crawly things. See you here next month for another installment of PREVIEWS' ongoing editorial, The Horror! The Horror!
