Afua Anxious To Amplify Her Artwork

Afua Richardson does not walk towards an opportunity. She runs. Fast. An artist of exceptional caliber, you can often find her at many comic book conventions, and for good reason. Her work is diverse, and it appeals to many different strains of comic book fans because Afua lives, breathes, and eats comics for breakfast. She is all about the moment, and she's a wonder to talk to at a convention. Specifically, she likes to be Wonder Woman at a convention when possible, which is the way she was dressed at this year's Baltimore Comic Con.

"I had to get into the Amazonian spirit here today at Baltimore Comic Con," she says with a smile. "Out right now is Warbringer."

The Amazonian Princess, however, is not the only DC character that Afua puts on her list of accomplishments.

"Batman: Nightwalker!" she exclaims. "I've got little inserts in the back."

It is just the tip of the iceburg for the artist, who continually takes on jobs as they make their way into her Inbox. The Black Panther: World of Wakanda artist is the Energizer bunny that never needs her batteries changed. "I'm really excited about the movie. I want to cosplay!" she shouts, and jumps at the prospect of doing authentic cosplay. "I actually tried to go to the set and get hired as an extra."

Afua is also a self-professed anime dork, which led her to do work on Hajime Isayama's Attack on Titan Anthology.
