In their upcoming auction, ComicLink will offer a copy of Detective Comics #27, the first appearance of Batman and one of the highest sought comic books in the hobby. “Along with Action Comics #1, this is one of the two most important comic books ever published,” Josh Nathanson, President of ComicLink, said. “It’s a CGC 2.5 Blue Label Universal with strong eye appeal and would make a fine addition to the collection of any advanced collector. Batman will be turning 80 in less than two years and the character is as big as he’s ever been. The Dark Knight not only rules comic books, but also movies, television, video games, and merchandise. He’s one of the most recognizable fictional characters on the planet and every generation seems to love him even more than the previous one, meaning this rare first appearance will likely only continue to skyrocket in value over the coming years.”

“It’s been a busy week at ComicLink with the Summer Featured Auction having just ended and the latest Focused Auction getting underway. We are now also very busy responding to selling inquiries from prospective consignors to upcoming auctions including the Focused Auction starting on October 19, and the Fall Featured Auction which will begin on November 15. The Detective Comics #27 will be in the Fall Featured Auction,” Nathanson added.
