Highlights are Amazing Spider-Man #1 (second Spider-Man) CBCS 3.5, X-Men #1 (first X-Men and Magneto) CGC 6.5, Fantastic Four #1 (first Fantastic Four) CGC 4.5 and CGC 3.0 and #48 (first Silver Surfer and Galactus) CGC 9.6, Showcase #4 (first Silver Age Flash) CBCS 3.0, Incredible Hulk #181 (first full Wolverine) CGC 9.8, Conan #1 CGC 9.8, and Iron Man #55 (first Thanos and Drax) CGC 9.8. This auction also includes Avengers issues from the John G. Fantucchio Pedigree with Silver and early Bronze issues, starting with #1 (origin of the Avengers) CGC 8.0, #4 (first Silver Age Captain America) CGC 9.0, and many later issues in CGC 9.4, 9.6 and 9.8.
Session 2 offers a fantastic selection of over 500 hard to find Golden Age comic books, including relatively affordable low grade keys such as Detective Comics #31 (classic third Batman cover), Batman #1 (first Joker and Catwoman) and #2 (second Joker and Catwoman), and Captain America Comics #1 (first Cap and Bucky). There are many early issues of Batman and Detective Comics featuring key villain appearances and many sought-after covers including a number with art by Alex Schomburg and L.B. Cole. There is a wide selection of Pre-Code horror and crime from EC and Atlas and a selection of humor comics including some of the nicest known examples of some rare Timely/Atlas first issues.
Session 3 offers over 1,750 certified late Bronze through Modern Age comics like Amazing Spider-Man #194 (first Black Cat) CGC 9.8 and #300 (first full Venom) CGC 9.8, Batman Adventures #12 (first Harley Quinn in comics) CGC 9.8, Daredevil #131 (first Bullseye) CGC 9.8 and #168 (first Elektra) CGC 9.8, Fantasy Quarterly #1 (first Elfquest) CGC 9.8, Ms. Marvel #1 (first Carol Danvers as Ms. Marvel) CGC 9.8, New Mutants #98 (first Deadpool) CGC 9.8), NYX #3 (first X-23, the current Wolverine) CGC 9.8, and X-Men #101 (first Phoenix) CGC 9.8.
Session 4 features a selection of over 400 assorted comic books, sold individually and within lots. This is a great opportunity for bargain hunters looking to fill out the holes in their collections.
