The Mighty Captain Marvel #1

Carol Danvers is back and bigger than ever in an all new series from Marvel Comics. Taking place after the events of Civil War 2, The Mighty Captain Marvel #1 (NOV160757finds Carol back to doing what she does best – being a superhero. The fame that comes along with being the biggest superhero in the world is a double edged sword, and one that Carol might not be ready for. Angel Season 11 #1

The vampire with a soul returns in the next season of the long running Dark Horse Comics spin off, Angel Season 11 #1 (NOV160015). When Season 11 starts Angel is plagued by dreams and visions linking Angelus, his dark and shameful past life, to a new evil coming on the horizon. Reaching out to his friend the goddess Illyria Angel gains insight and knowledge about the impending doom. But when Illyria decides to get involved, Angel finds that in order to change the future he fist must try to change his past. As Angel explores his life, he must be careful not to change his past too much or he risks destroying his future!

Kill or Be Killed #5

Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips’ latest hit crime comic is back with a new story arc in Kill or Be Killed #5 (NOV160562). The sold out Image Comics series hits comic shops on the same day as the first trade paperback, so new fans can completely catch up. Brubaker and Phillips have explored the origin of the wild and timely rogue killer on the streets of New York City as they now shift to what the NYPD will do when they find out there’s a vigilante on the loose. A perfect companion to any of Brubaker and Phillips other crime comics, from Criminal, Sleeper, Incognito, and even Fatale, Kill or Be Killed is not to be missed.

Dollface #1

The breakout character from Action Lab Danger Zone’s Halloween ComicFest comic is getting an ongoing series in Dollface #1 (NOV161045). This double sized issue explores the origin of Lila, a 17th century witch hunter who has been magically transported to the modern day. With her soul residing in the body of a life sized ball jointed doll, Lila must come to terms with 20th century America and the body she now inhabits. Containing both issues one and two of this new series, Dollface is sure to please fans of Action Lab Danger Zone’s other series Zombie Tramp and Vampblade.

The X-Files #10

IDW Publishing delves into the past with the start of an all new story arc in The X-Files #10 (NOV160471). Mulder must explore the history of the 1980’s as evidence from the now-defunct Syndicate falls into his hands. As he unravels a mystery that ties the Syndicate to the Iran-Contra affair, Mulder discovers more than he bargained for when he finds out that the Cigarette Smoking Man may be involved. Mulder finds that this political smear on President Reagan’s career may more than just a political scandal, but the discovery may cost him dearly.
