Article Image ce83

I’m sure by now you’ve heard that Disney is bringing their timeless classic Beauty & the Beast to live action in 2017, staring Emma Watson and Dan Stevens. The film is sure to excite Disney fans, and for those looking to immerse themselves deeper into the lore with a different edge to the storytelling, look no further than Tokyopop’s manga reimagining of the classic.

This original manga, created by Mallory Reaves and Studio Dice, is presented in two volumes, giving you the option to lean on either of the main character’s perspective. Volume 1 presents Belle’s Tale and delves into her imprisonment at the hands of the Beast, detailing what she went through as she unraveled the mysteries within the castle. On the other hand, Volume 2 shows The Beast’s Tale and explores what Beast was thinking as he keeps Belle locked within his castle, finally interacting with a human that sees him as something more than just a monster.

It’s a story of character and emotions told in a brand new light. If you’re looking for complimentary reading to go along with the new Disney movie, be sure to pick up Belle’s Tale and Beast’s Tale when they arrive in this next March.
