New Stories and New Characters In Spider-Verse Anthology

Dan Slott seems to be sitting it the Captain’s chair these days when it comes to deciding the fate of your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. In addition to writing Amazing Spider-Man every month, he’s now taken on the job of teaming up with writers Skottie Young, Robbie Thompson, and Katie Cook for Spider-Verse #1 (SEP140830), the first of a two-part anthology that dives deep into the upcoming Spider-Verse event.

Slott and comrade-in-chaos Humberto Ramos will kick off this anthology, followed by a sweet Mangaverse Spider-Man tale produced by Skottie Young (Rocket Raccoon) and Jake Parker (All-New X-men). To say that the manga story makes for a versatile collection of stories is an understatement, too, as Robbie Thompson (Supernatural TV series writer) and Dennis Medri serve up a steampunk Spider-Woman tale that’s out of this world!And Katie Cook (who you know from the Marvel animal variants) takes things even further with a new Spider character for all ages.
