Artist Dustin Nguyen is bringing his beautiful hand-painted style to BOOM! Studios for the publisher’s first ever children’s storybook What Is It (APR161393). This gorgeous hardcover picture book was written by Nguyen’s wife Nicole Hoang and illustrated by him as a wedding present. A poignant story about a young girl who discovers a mysterious creature in a nearby forest, they both set off on a journey to discover more about each other. Actor Greg Grunberg, best known for his role in the television series Heroes, is making the leap into comics with his new graphic novel Dream Jumper (APR161689). This new Graphix series follows Ben, who has the gift to jump into other people’s dreams. When his friends start to fall victim to a malicious dream monster it’s up to Ben to save his friends, but can he save them in time? With a little help from a mysterious companion, Ben must find the power within himself to defeat the monster and save the day! Growing up with siblings can be a harrowing experience, and in Papercutz new graphic novel The Sisters (APR161862), the French team of Cazenove and William Maury tell the story of Maureen and Wendy. Older sister Wendy and younger sister Maureen are full of personality and while they do love each other, it’s not always easy to get along. These two make quite the pair as they go through everyday life and deal with each other. A cute peek into the relationship siblings have, this lighthearted series is perfect for any set of sisters.
