Comics Return To Tube Land
Aug 30, 2015
In the 1950’s and 1960’s, no one did TV comics better than Dell and Gold Key. These two publishers had the market cornered for licensed TV properties in comics back then. Between them, they adapted hundreds of TV series, both live-action and animated, and although their interiors weren’t always the best, their covers (which often did not reflect the issue’s content) were always colorful and well-designed, especially Gold Key, who excelled at mixing eye-catching colors with photos and design.
So in keeping with this month’s AS SEEN ON TV theme in the September PREVIEWS, we present this gallery of classic covers to TV shows some of our younger readers have probably never heard of! Click on the covers to get a closer look!
