Feb 27, 2015
It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of actor Leonard Nimoy, the man who was best known as Spock of Star Trek. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family and friends. The "logical" first officer of the original starship Enterprise will be forever remembered by fans worldwide. It is a great understatement to say that Leonard Nimoy left his mark on American pop culture and television.
Susan Bay Nimoy, the actor's wife, confirmed his death saying the screen legend had passed away from end-stage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Although Mr. Nimoy enjoyed a variety of artistic pursuits, it was his portrayl of a pointy-eared Vulcan with a signature hand salute and “Live long and prosper” tag that endeared him to fans worldwide.
Mr. Nimoy: we have been, and always shall be, your friend.
The world is sadder today without you in it.
A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. LLAP
