Movie Variants Highlight Ultron's Domination

Humanity engineered its own extinction with the creation of Ultron. The creation of Hank Pym, Ultron was a machine intelligence that believed it was better than humanity and quickly sought to overrun the Earth, leading to a succession of battles against the Avengers. With each battle Ultron learned more, each battle made the intelligence more dangerous, and five centuries in the future, Ultron has triumphed. As seen in the pages of Avengers, Earth's future is dire at Ultron's hands. He has conquered Earth and set himself up as Asgard's All-Father.
