Metal Men Return in Justice League #28

If you pick up the December issue of the PREVIEWS catalog, you’ll see on page 81 a return of the old guard in the DC Comics section. Geoff Johns is bringing back the Metal Men so that they play a role in the ongoing Forever Evil storyline. In the issue due out in February of 2014, Cyborg has been targeted for assassination by the Crime Syndicate, and Cyborg has enlisted the help of heroes who are way before his time, but nonetheless have with him a certain kinship. The reason being? Their skins are made of metal.

“We are re-introducing the Metal Men to the DC Universe in Justice League #28,” says DC Entertainment Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns in an exclusive interview on DC All Access. In the YouTube video, Johns talks about the return of the Metal Men, and explains his affinity towards the characters.

“I think the Metal Men are one of those untapped group of characters that have so much potential. They were designed to be soldiers. Of course, when the Metal Men are born, they’re like people. They’re like us. They want to go to the basketball game.”
