San Diego Comic Con 2013 — Brian Michael Bendis Raps About Battle of the Atom

He’s the writer at Marvel who never seems to sleep.

The writer who probably writes in his sleep.

He’s Brian Michael Bendis, and no sooner had he wrapped up work on Age of Ultron, he’s now telling people that they don’t have time to watch the dust settle because X-Men: Battle of the Atom is right around the corner.

The writer of both All-New X-Men and Uncanny X-Men spoke with us at the year’s biggest show to explain how “it’s a hell of a list of guys celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of X-Men, as the X-men from the future come back here to say to the X-Men from the past: you’ve got to get out of here! Immediately. You’ve got to leave right now.”

In his characteristic way of emphasizing a point poetically, Brian stresses how this new book is an “amazing taco of X-Men from the past, future, and present all smashed together really celebrating the entire legacy of the X-Men franchise.”

Check out the above interview to learn more about the project, and how he expects to attend more cons in the future … now that he’s bringing his daughter to the shows.
