February's Top 50 Comics & Graphic Novels!

The Martian Manhunter assembles a new team in Geoff Johns and David Finch's Justice League of America #1 from DC Comics, the best-selling comic book in February.

In total, DC Comics had four of the month's top ten comics. Batman #17, the conclusion to Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo's "Death of the Family" storyline, ranked #3. Justice League #17, part of the "Throne of Atlantis" crossover, ranked #4. Finally, Detective Comics #17, a tie-in to "Death of the Family," ranked #9.

Marvel Comics took six of the month's top ten, led by Brian Michael Bendis and Chris Bachalo's Uncanny X-Men #1 at #2. Also in the top ten were Superior Spider-Man #3 at #5, Superior Spider-Man #4 at #6, Uncanny X-Men #2 at #7, Uncanny Avengers #4 at #8, and Secret Avengers #1 at #10.

Among the premier publishers, Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead #107 was Image Comics' top book for the month at #19.

Dark Horse Comics' top book in February was Star Wars #2; it ranked #40 for the month.

Finally, IDW Publishing's My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic #3 was the publisher's top book for the month at #45.

Captain Nemo's daughter seeks to explore Antarctica, only to discover an ancient horror, in Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neill's new League of Extraordinary Gentlemen book, Nemo: Heart of Ice, from Top Shelf Productions, the best-selling Graphic Novels in February.

DC Comics had four titles in the top ten, led by Batman: The Night of the Owls at #2. Also in the top ten were Batman: The Black Mirror at #6, Catwoman Volume 2: Dollhouse at #7, and Batgirl Volume 1: The Darkest Reflection at #9.

BOOM! Studios had two volumes in the top ten — Adventure Time Volume 2 ranked #3 and Adventure Time Volume 1 ranked #10.

Also with two titles in the top ten was Image Comics with Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead Volume 1: Days Gone Bye at #4 and Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples' Saga Volume 1 at #5.

Rounding out the top ten was IDW Publishing with Star Trek: The Next Generation/Doctor Who: Assimilation² Volume 2 at #8.

Among the premier publishers, Dark Horse Comics' top graphic novel for February was The Goon Volume 12: Them That Raised Us Lament at #19.

Finally, Marvel Comics' top-selling graphic novel in February was Iron Man: Tales of the Golden Avenger at #24.

Data for Diamond’s sales charts – which include the monthly market shares and all top product charts – are compiled by Diamond Comic Distributors from a universe of over 3,500 accounts, comprised of comic book specialty shops and other merchant stores and buyers. The shops are primarily located in North America, with a percentage of sales also to international stores and buyers located throughout the world. The account base includes not only brick-and-mortar comic book specialty shops, but also Internet stores, chain stores, and other specialty stores.

Unit sales are calculated based upon orders invoiced and shipped to Diamond accounts during any given month, minus any copies that are distributed free of cost.
