2012 was a huge year for comic book movies with The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises and The Amazing Spider-Man. Well, 2013 should be another big year at the theater for comic book fans.

An alien infant is raised on Earth, and grows up with superhuman abilities. He sets out to use these abilities to guard his adopted world.
Kick-Ass 2 -- Release Date: June 28, 2012
The costumed high-school hero Kick-Ass joins with a group of normal citizens who have been inspired to fight crime in costume. Meanwhile, the Red Mist plots an act of revenge that will affect everyone Kick-Ass knows.
R.I.P.D. -- Release Date: July 19, 2013
A recently slain cop joins a team of undead police officers working for the Rest in Peace Department and tries to find the man who murdered him. It's based on the comic book Rest In Peace Department by Peter M. Lenkov and published by Dark Horse Entertainment. The film will star Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges as Nick Walker and Roy Pulsipher, respectively.
The Wolverine -- Release Date: July 26, 2013
Wolverine travels to Japan to train with a samurai warrior. No trailers yet, but they have released an official motion poster.
Red 2 -- Release Date: August 2, 2013
RED 2 is a sequel to the 2010 film, RED which was inspired by the limited comic book series of the same name created by Warren Ellis and Cully Hamner, and published by the DC Comics imprint Homage.
Sin City: A Dame To Kill For -- Release Date: October 4, 2013
The town's most hard boiled citizens cross paths with some of its more reviled inhabitants. The film is based on the second book in the Sin City series by Frank Miller.
Thor: The Dark World -- Release Date: November 8, 2013
Thor battles an ancient race of Dark Elves led by the vengeful Malekith who threatens to plunge the universe back into darkness after the events of The Avengers.
