J.C. Vaughn Shows Off New Overstreet Price Guide

He’s been to 20 consecutive San Diego Comic Cons, and has no intention of being a no-show anytime in the future. J. C. Vaughn, Vice President of Publishing at Gemstone Publishing, is a true foot soldier in the business of comics as his job is to make sure that the annual editions of The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide are published on schedule, and out in time for the San Diego conventions.

In an exclusive interview with PREVIEWSworld, Jeff explains how volume 43 came together for the year, and how it was “one of the fastest covers we ever had come together.”

The interview also touches on the rare Volume 5 cover of the Guide which Joe Kubert rendered, and which Vaughn explains is “one of the greatest Overstreet covers of all time… the Tarzan one. It was voted the favorite cover by our Scoop readers.”

Also reviewed is The Overstreet Guide To Collecting Comics, in which a second printing will be issued with artwork by Valiant Entertainment.

“Valiant has done an extremely cool second printing cover for us that will be PREVIEWS Exclusive,” he concluded.
