San Diego Comic Con 2013 — Todd McFarlane Talks Walking Dead and Assassin's Creed

McFarlane Toys is known for its cutting edge designs and articulation. What we were able to learn in a video interview at San Diego Comic-Con is that company founder Todd McFarlane had a few words to say about his Assassin's Creed toys, and the new Penny figure from The Walking Dead comic series.

As he explained at San Diego, “One thing you‘re doing when you’re putting together a toy is to try and give perceived value. Because people see it with their eyes. They walk down aisles at stores, and they go 'oh!' I get that much for that? I’ll buy it.”

On further reflection, he noted “So when you’re doing a Penny character…she’s a child. She’s half the size. So obviously you can’t just put in half the plastic and expect the same price. You have to start augmenting it with some other stuff. So she comes with all these other pieces!”
