BOOM! Studios and Cartoon Network Enterprises will release Adventure Time #1 in February 2012. BOOM! Studios' all-ages imprint KaBOOM! will have the ongoing monthly comic book series feature all-new original stories that follow Finn the Human, Jake the Dog, Princess Bubblegum and the other inhabitants of the Land of Ooo as they explore many varied adventures.

Symphonic metal band Within Temptation (see the YouTube video!) will join a host of publishers like Image Comics and IDW Publishing to launch Diamond Digital in comic shops this September. Fans will soon be able to redeem codes for new digital comics, as Beta testing is now underway with over 50 retail shops and more than 30 publishers set to participate in this new program with dozens of new releases and nearly 2,000 back issues.

At the New York Comic Con 2011, Diamond Digital has unveiled Within Temptation's The Unforgiving #1, which is the company's first digital comic bundled with exclusive video media. Promoted at the Diamond booth by Dave Bowen, Director of Diamond Digital, the digital release is showcased by an exclusive video trailer made by Within Temptation Entertainment for the New York Comic Con.

Actor Nicolas Cage's stolen copy of Action Comics #1 set a record auction price, and is the first comic book to sell for more than $2 million at auction. Cage first bought the comic in 1997 for about $150,000. But the comic was later stolen from Cage’s house in 2000. It is said that the book was found in a storage locker this past April.

The Dark Knight Rises is directed by Christopher Nolan, and is the third installment in Nolan's Batman film series, which began with Batman Begins (2005) and was continued in The Dark Knight (2008). The new film stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, and Morgan Freeman, and takes place eight years after we see The Dark Knight make his escape on his motorcycle.
