The Valiant Entertainment relaunch continued in June, and for the second month in a row the publisher had the month's top-selling Non-Premier comic book, this month with Harbinger #1. The publisher's X-O Manowar #2 ranked #2.
Other publishers in the top ten include Archie Comics, Aspen MLT, Bongo Comics, and Zenescope Entertainment.
BOOM! Studios had three books in the top ten, led by Adventure Time #5 at #3, followed by Extermination 31 at #5 and Hypernaturals #1, the new cosmic super-hero series from Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning, at #8.
Dynamite Entertainment had four books in the top ten, with The Shadow #3 at #4 as the publisher's top book.
Avatar Press rounded out the top ten with Crossed: Badlands #7 at #9.
Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neill's saga of super-heroic pulp heroes continued in Top Shelf Productions' The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen III: Century #3: 2009, the best-selling Non-Premier Graphic Novel in June.
Dynamite Entertainment had the month's #2 Indie graphic novel with The Boys Volume 11: Over the Hill with the Swords of a Thousand Men at #2. Barry Sonnenfeld's Dinosaurs Vs. Aliens, an original graphic novel by Grant Morrison that was previewed by Dynamite with a Free Comic Book Day special, ranked #4. Of related note, Bantam/Spectra's hardcover collection of the first six issues of Dynamite's Game of Thrones series ranked #3.
Other publishers in the top ten include Amaze Ink/Slave Labor Graphics, Archie Comics, and Viz Media.

How does Diamond calculate the charts? It all starts at the comic book shop.
Data for Diamond’s sales charts – which include the monthly market shares and all top product charts – are compiled by Diamond Comic Distributors from a universe of over 3,500 accounts, comprised of comic book specialty shops and other merchant stores and buyers. The shops are primarily located in North America, with a percentage of sales also to international stores and buyers located throughout the world. The account base includes not only brick-and-mortar comic book specialty shops, but also Internet stores, chain stores, and other specialty stores.
Unit and dollars sales are calculated based upon orders invoiced and shipped to Diamond accounts during any given month, minus any copies that are distributed free of cost.
About the Diamond Sales Index: The Sales Index of selected monthly Best Seller Charts is presented as a comparative tool for retailers and publishers. It presents Diamond’s monthly sales for individual titles in relation to Diamond’s total sales for the issue of DC Comics' monthly Batman comic book. (Batman is used as the control title – with a value of 100 – because sales of Batman generally remain stable.) This allows for easy comparison to other titles and helps retailers gauge their orders for all other titles. This formula is only a guide, other factors may impact a titles’ ability to sell in certain locations and clientele.
